This stunning copper gaming PC build has an Nvidia RTX 4090 and is one-of-a-kind

-

I’ve been showcasing some truly incredible PC builds over the last few months, but my favorite are the builds that try something a little different. This absolutely stunning gaming PC build does just that, combining flawless workmanship with a truly one-of-a-kind, copper and brass PC that gamers and plumbers alike would love to have at their disposal, powered by top-spec AMD and Nvidia components.

The best gaming PCs might have the best specs, but matching that into a visually impressive PC build can be tricky. In this case, this PC has both in spades, thanks to a gorgeously custom-built design that integrates both an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU and AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, which is gear that’s among the best that Nvidia and AMD have to offer.

This particular PC comes via Billet Labs, a builder I’ve kept a close eye on since I showcased their RTX 5090 Toaster PC. This is yet another whacky design from the British custom PC builders who, this time around, have built the Boiler PC, a custom water-cooled gaming rig that took these intrepid builders a whole year to create.

Thanks to a YouTube video, along with some pics shared over on Reddit, we can follow the whole design process from start to finish. Looking at the specs first, the build has the aforementioned top-spec RTX 4090 graphics card and 9800X3D CPU, and as our 9800X3D review shows, it’s the best gaming CPU you can buy right now. There’s also 64GB of DDR5 RAM, a whopping 12TB of storage, and a Noctua fan for airflow.

The specs might be impressive, but the build itself is nothing short of a masterpiece. The build uses a Monoblock, which is the team’s custom, one-piece CPU and GPU waterblock with an incredibly small footprint. The PC is then enclosed in a custom case with just enough space for the mini-ITX motherboard, power supply, waterblock, and pump, with a paint-stripped Alphacool radiator and a Noctua fan on its top, hidden behind a custom-made enclosure.

This PC is all water-cooled, with a (you guessed it) copper reservoir positioned next to the radiator, with copper pipes soldered into place all throughout the build to distribute the water through the Monoblock. Almost everything about this PC case has been custom-made to suit the specifics of this build, whether it’s the copper pipes that have been cut and soldered to size, down to the power button, which was made using repurposed keyboard keys.

Despite Billet Labs’ pausing for eight months to build the Toaster PC for a paying client, they’ve achieved something special with this PC that manages to infuse the spirit of the 19th century into the modern era. The PC itself works great, with CPU temperatures that reach 181Β°F (83Β°C) in benchmark testing, while GPU temperatures reach only as high as 143Β°F (62Β°C), with a hotspot temperature of 160Β°F (71Β°C).

You’ll struggle to find a mini gaming PC to buy with these specs, but you could get a hold of the Boiler PC yourself. Billet Labs are auctioning off the build via Ebay right now to raise funds for the Turing Trust, a UK-based charity which helps to provide tech to schools in third-world countries. Bidding on the PC has already reached $6,000 (Β£4,800) with 49 bids at the time of writing and bidding set to close in just over a week. If you can’t bid on it, make sure to watch the video in full to see just how this incredible rig was put together.
