This fantastically futuristic gaming PC build is out of this world

-

I’ve seen some unusual gaming PC builds in my time, but this futuristic space pod build is certainly up with the best with them. Named Ugahari, a word meaning frugal or modest in Indonesian, the philosophy behind this build is set around a hypothetical apocalypse, using a β€œsatirical, surrealistic style” to form the design of a pod, lost in time, and reclaimed by nature.

That’s certainly a bold story. I like it when a designer creates a PC build with personality behind it, abandoning the typical black boxes of most builds to create something a little bit different.Β  This custom build could certainly win an award as the best gaming PC from an artistic point of view, because its specially-designed, three-sided case really stands out. The spec sheet is otherwise fairly modest, with just a four-core Intel gaming CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card powering it.

This remarkable design caught my eye in a builds.gg post by Dony DaGuar, who seems to have form for building some out-there designs, judging from his profile. According to DaGaur, this PC’s design is inspired by a fictional rural landscape that reclaimed this pod-like PC following the end of civilization, although to me, it gives off 1970s space movie vibes.

The geometric, angled lines and battered gray colors of the custom-created PC case all try to set the scene, with a style he’s carried out fairly consistently throughout the build. This build’s gray tones are a fairly bold, and potentially quite barren, choice to choose. Thankfully, the case’s purple stick of RGB lighting and other subtle internal lighting helps to liven up the look.

Unusual case aesthetics aside, the components form an otherwise fairly standard budget-level gaming PC, with the parts attached to a removable inner section of the custom case. Along with the Intel Core i3-13100 CPU and Asus-branded Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, this build comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, installed on a mini-ITX Asus ROG Strix Z790-I motherboard.

There’s also a 1TB Zadak M.2 SSD, giving this builder a decent amount of space for a modern game collection, along with a 750W power supply supplied by Cooler Master. The motherboard, GPU, and radiator are each placed on one of the internal sections three-sided panels.

In my opinion, a gaming PC should tell a decent story, and when I look at this build, it certainly leaves me wanting to learn more. Congratulations to DeGuar for building a truly, one-of-a-kind custom gaming PC as a worthy entry for Cooler Master’s Case Mod World Series 2024 competition.
