Apple TV+ just debuted the long-awaited new season of Severance, but another beloved show is in the works for a big return too. Ted Lasso season 4 hasn’t officially been announced yet, but according to one star, that will change very soon.
Nick Mohammed teases Ted Lasso’s return announcement
Nick Mohammed, the actor who plays Nate on Ted Lasso, teased Ted Lasso’s impending renewal announcement in a video on X.
He mentions needing to reschedule dates for his Show Pony performances because of filming coming up that he cannot move.
Then the teasing begins in full force:
I cannot say what that filming is, but it will be announced shortly. In the meantime, I would really appreciate if people didn’t speculate as to what they think it might be.
While sharing these final words, a Ted Lasso ‘Believe’ sign is held up on camera.
The video post on X also contains the #TedLasso hashtag.
We’ve heard plenty of rumblings that all seem to confirm Ted Lasso season 4 is in the works, but this is the first time we’ve heard about when an announcement might arrive.
9to5Mac’s Take
Now that Apple TV+ has a lot of attention on it with Severance’s return, I expect we’ll see Ted Lasso’s announcement arrive at some point during the show’s season 2 run in the next couple months.
If I had to guess, an announcement near the date of Severance’s finale could make a lot of sense. Partly because it might line up nicely with a potential Apple spring event, and also provide subscribers a preview of new TV+ content in the works.
