Apple TV+ just kicked off season 2 of Shrinking this week. But rather than waiting to see how the season performs, Apple has given the show an early season 3 renewal.
Season 3 will complete original Shrinking story arc
Apple confirmed via its Apple TV account on X that Shrinking has been renewed for season 3.
The first two episodes of season 2 dropped this week, with many more still to come.
No spoilers, but the first episode ends with a big surprise that sets up whatβs sure to be a compelling sophomore run. For what its worth, critics have been loving season 2 just as much as the showβs first season.
If youβre unfamiliar, Shrinking comes from Ted Lassoβs Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein (aka Roy Kent), the latter of whom even guest stars in season 2.
Hereβs a summary of the show:
βShrinkingβ follows a grieving therapist who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to peopleβs lives β¦ including his own.
Bill Lawrence has long said thereβs a three-season arc in place for Shrinking, so itβs great that his vision will be able to come to fruition. Hereβs hoping the same is true for another Lawrence show, Bad Monkey, which has its own three-season plan.
