Following yesterdayβs launch of the iPad mini 7, Apple has also made a couple of changes to the cheapest iPad in the line-up in a number of European countries.
The box no longer contains a charger, only a USB-C cable, and that has been offset by a price cut β¦
In the UK, for example, the price has been reduced from Β£349 to Β£329. The cheapest charging brick Apple sells for the iPad is the 20W USB-C Power Adapter at Β£19, meaning that this is effectively price-neutral. (Youβre better off to the tune of Β£1.)
In France and several other Eurozone countries, the price cut is β¬30, from β¬439 down to β¬409, and the 20W charging adapter costs β¬25, so you save β¬5.
Interestingly, MacRumors notes that the company hasnβt done the same in the US. Here, the charger remains in the box, and the price remains the same.
