Apple continues high-profile Severance promos with fun homepage panels

-

Apple is clearly really proud of Severance season 2, as the company continues its high-profile promos for the Apple TV+ show.

After setting up a transparent Severance cube at Grand Central Terminal in New York City, complete with Lumon employees working at their desks, the company has now added some fun panels to its hompage …

The company kicked things off with a holiday preview of the first eight minutes of the new season, before the pop-up feature in New York, which included visits by actors from the show playing themselves.

Staged in New York City’s Grand Central Terminal, several employees with Lumon desks and computers can be seen working inside a glass cube branded with Severance’s January 17 return date and the Apple TV+ logo.

Director Ben Stiller also put in an appearance.

The fun continues today with a promotional panel on the homepage of apple.com, playing second place only to the iPhone 16.

There are at least two variants, the first showing one of the Lumon terminals used for macrodata refinement (speaking of which, there’s an interesting theory about this on Reddit). This is made to look like an Apple product shot.

The second shows a room filling with balloons bearing the face of team leader Mark Scout, a reference to a scene in which the character is seen carrying the balloons along a corridor.

Let us know in the comments if you spot any more rotations.

Reviewers have been impressed with the show, as this example from Mashable indicates:

Somehow, Severance manages to top itself in its second outing, expanding further on its unique sci-fi premise and always, always keeping us on our toes. Expect the unexpected this season
