You can grab a Steam Deck OLED gaming handheld for just $1, if you’re lucky

-

If you’re stuck for something to play on Steam and fancy your chances at winning big, you need to check out the latest mystery game bundle from Fanatical. This offer gives you the opportunity to purchase a mystery Steam game for just $1 while also being automatically entered into a draw to win a 1TB Steam Deck OLED.

Bagging one of the best handheld gaming PCs for just $1 would be quite the win. In our Steam Deck OLED review, we praised the new and improved display which “transforms” the handheld gaming experience. However, should you not be lucky enough to win one of Valve’s Steam Deck handhelds, fear not, as there are also “shooting stars” available to be won worth $1,000.

While it’s hardly a risk to drop $1 in return for a random Steam game, Fanatical has parameters in place to assure that the games included in this deal are worth playing. Each game is rated at least 70%, and all keys purchased within a single transaction are guaranteed to be unique. Subsequent purchases may result in duplicate keys, though.

You can purchase one, five, 10, 15, or 20 mystery keys with an increasing discount applied the more keys you buy at once. A single game costs $1 while purchasing the 20-game bundle costs only $13.99.

I took my chances and purchased just the one key and received a copy of Internet Cafe Simulator. The game has a 71% rating on Steam, and its reviews are “Mostly Positive.” As for value, the game has a current MSRP of $9.99, meaning I technically saved $8.99 thanks to the mystery bundle deal, although I can’t say I was planning on purchasing the game prior to this deal going live.
