A gaming PC isnβt just a computer β itβs a show piece β and MSI is here to ensure your system lives up to that status. This new concept MSI CPU cooler ditches the clichΓ© of a fancy LCD screen or infinity mirror lighting and instead gives you a rotating turntable for you to place your favorite figurine, letting you make the most of all that RGB and turn your PC into a proper display case.
While the best gaming PCs you can buy include plenty of gimmicks that arenβt just about high specs, if you really want your computer to stand out, MSIβs new cooler could be a smart and understated way to do so. It could even save you some desk space too.
We managed to get a good look at this new cooler at MSIβs booth on the CES 2025 show floor, where the company was showcasing its βProject Zeroβ PC build. This concept cooler includes a patent-pending design, modifying the existing MSI MAG CoreLiquid A13 White cooler to provide room above the CPU water block for a turntable that, in this display, showcased a spinning MSI mascot named Lucky.
However, weβd assume that the companyβs intention would be to ship it empty, leaving it up to you to fill it with your favorite trinket, whether that be a D&D miniature, a PokΓ©mon figurine, or Baldurβs Gate 3 model. MSI didnβt share any sizing information, but by the naked eye, the diameter of the turntable appeared to be around 1.5-inches and the height above it was about 2-inches. So your favorite Tiamat figure or Action Man might have to find somewhere else to sit.
We love the effect, especially in this clean, all-white PC interior β a rainbow of RGB would perhaps undersell your chosen miniature, especially as the coolerβs itself doesnβt appear to have its own white lighting β but we canβt help but notice one oddity with this particular build. In contrast to Asusβ just-announced wraparound screen CPU cooler that has its tubes positioned centrally for a tidy build, this MSI cooler has very long tubes that trail right across the front of the case. Thatβs both a PC building and a product design error but itβs something weβd hope MSI considers for the final product.
While this product isnβt being offered for sale right now, due in part to those pending patents, itβs still a very cool demo of what might come in the future. Gaming PC builders are always looking for more ways to spice up their build, and what better way than to put your favorite figures on permanent display in your epic PC build?
Not that you need a special place to pop your figurines in a modern PC. Many cases now come with areas that can easily accommodate little extras, such as seen in this winter wonderland PC build. In fact, weβve even seen figurines used to graphics cards stand, as in this star wars figurine gaming PC.
